Forensic Luminol-based reagent for blood identification. (http://polypharm-inc.com/forensic_reagent_blood_crime_scene_luminol_enhancement_luminescence_forensic_science_forensic_chemistry_forensic_evidence.htm)
Description:
Forensic Luminol-based reagent for blood identification - Luminol-based reagent is useful to identify if blood is present at crime scenes. Crime Lab investigator should spray the area or object with this chemical and turn off the lights. Luminol-based reagent will detect small traces of blood by illumination of blood spots.
Key Benefits:
Investigators will be able to see location of the blood spots with the naked eye. The sample can be collected and tested to determine where the blood came from. This forensic luminol-based reagent will help to provide more evidence.
Sensitivity (limit) of blood detection by this reagent is 1 : 1 000 000. Blood powder (over 1 year old dry blood) was diluted 1 : 1 000 000.
Blood-splattered object is appear clean. But, showing illumination after treatment by this luminol-based reagent.
Suspect blood-splattered shoe is appears clean. But, showing illumination after treatment by this luminol-based reagent.
Important note:
This reagent is presumptive test capable of giving false positives (in the presence of oxidants) and false negatives (if blood has been destroyed or masked by a foreign substance).
